Early Elementary
Classroom
The early elementary classroom offers more opportunities for complex exploration and discovery. The hands on materials and classroom are designed to increase curiosity, initiative, and independence. Teachers guide children through a rigorous curriculum that is tailored to their own interests, needs, and abilities. The early elementary program is intended for children 6-9.

- 7:30-8:30 Arrival
- 8:30-8:45 Morning Opener
- 8:45-9:00 Music/Yoga
- 9:00-11:00 Work Time (shelf work or more structured lessons)
- 11:15-11:45 Lunch *
- 11:45-12:00 Free Reading
- 12:00-12:45 Outside Time
- 12:45-1:00 Circle Time
- 1:00-1:15 Snack
- 1:15-1:45 Spelling/Writing
- 1:45-3:00 Shelf Work
- 3:00-4:00 Outside/Free Time
* During warm weather we go outside in the morning when it is cooler and then do work between lunch and circle time.
